Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12/06/2026
Effective date: 11 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies greeksimmers.com uses, and how you can manage them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as login state or language) over a period of time, so you do not have to re-enter them on every page.
2. How we use cookies
We use a deliberately small set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run third-party analytics trackers on the Site.
3. Cookies we set
Strictly necessary
- Session cookie (PHPSESSID): keeps you signed in and secures forms (including CSRF protection) while you browse. Expires when the session ends.
- gs_cookie_consent: remembers that you have seen and accepted the cookie notice. Expires after 12 months.
Functional
- language: stores your language preference (English or Greek) so the Site loads in your language. Expires after 12 months.
Local storage
To improve the booking experience, the Site may keep short-lived booking-progress data (for example, your selected simulator, date and options) in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted as a cookie, and expires automatically or is cleared when the booking completes.
4. Third-party cookies
- Stripe: when you proceed to payment, Stripe's secure checkout sets cookies needed for payment processing and fraud prevention. See Stripe's own cookie policy for details.
- YouTube: some pages embed YouTube videos. When you play an embedded video, YouTube (Google) may set cookies in accordance with its own policies.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings (look for "Privacy" or "Cookies" in the settings of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge). Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent core features — such as logging in and booking — from working.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add or change cookies, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent again. The effective date above always reflects the latest version.
