This Privacy Policy explains how GreekSimmers ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit greeksimmers.com or use our booking and simulation services, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Greek data-protection law.

1. Data controller

GreekSimmers is the controller of your personal data. Contact: info@greeksimmers.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, phone number, password (stored as a secure hash), preferred language, optional experience level.
  • Booking data: simulator or collection booked, date and time, number of guests, special requests, selected options (e.g. experience mode, merchandise sizes), booking history and loyalty points.
  • Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive only confirmation of payment, the amount and a payment reference — we never receive or store your full card details.
  • Communications: messages you send via our contact form or email, and our replies.
  • Technical data: server logs (IP address, date/time, requested page) kept for security and troubleshooting, and the cookies described in our Cookie Policy.

3. Why we process your data

  • To create and manage your account and verify your email address.
  • To take, confirm, remind you about, reschedule and complete bookings — including sending transactional emails such as booking confirmations and pre-flight reminders.
  • To process payments, deposits and refunds through Stripe.
  • To operate the loyalty programme and apply tier discounts.
  • To respond to your enquiries.
  • To secure the Site, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax and accounting rules).

4. Legal bases

We rely on: performance of a contract (account, bookings, payments); legal obligation (tax/accounting records); legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, service improvement); and consent where required (e.g. non-essential cookies). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

5. Who we share data with

  • Stripe (payment processing) — see Stripe's privacy policy for details of their processing.
  • Our hosting provider (website and database hosting in the EU).
  • Email delivery provider (transactional emails such as confirmations and reminders).
  • Public authorities where disclosure is required by law.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

6. International transfers

Our processors may process limited data outside the European Economic Area (for example, Stripe entities in the United States). Where this happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.

7. Retention

  • Account data: for as long as your account exists, and up to 12 months after deletion for dispute resolution.
  • Booking and payment records: as required by Greek tax and accounting legislation (generally 5 years).
  • Contact messages: up to 24 months after the matter is closed.
  • Server logs: up to 12 months.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise any right, email info@greeksimmers.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: HTTPS across the Site, hashed passwords, parameterised database queries, access controls on the administration area, and payment processing delegated entirely to Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data accordingly.

10. Children

Our Services are not directed at children under 15. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; bookings involving minors must be made and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its effective date. Material changes will be announced on the Site.
